Lidia Amejko, born in 1955 in Wroclaw, is the most outstanding Polish
contemporary dramatist. Her plays were staged in Warsaw, Cracow, Opole,
Wrocław, London and Düsseldorf. Her dramas were translated into English,
German, Croatian, Spanish and Czech languages. "The Loud Stories" is the
first collection of Lidia Amejko's short stories, which includes sixteen
daringly told stories on voices, souls, places and rubbish.
